It's a systemic rot of Late Stage Capitalism. But you can't shame someone for earning a livelihood through listicles in a bad job market. I strongly disagree with point 5. These people work in a listicle sweatshop, churning out dozens of slop articles a day hoping 1 goes viral.
"Writing is a very noble and empowering pursuit..." that's subjective, mate.
Writing a McD's menu is still writing. I don't need my fast food menu to be 'noble' or 'empowering'. All I need to know is what toy I'll get with my Happy Meal. :-)
Hello! I am aware that it’s harsh and it was intentional. My take was not on the writers but the writing. I am not harsh with the individual who is writing these pieces. I have been there too! I used to write tens of articles daily for a finance company. It’s the system and the industry that I am against that pushes for such content.
Point 9! 😂 Loved reading this. And will try out the exercise you mentioned below to feel the difference.
😆 glad you enjoyed the piece! Yes do try the exercise and let me know how it goes :)
Satya vachan!!!

I feel you are being too harsh.

Lastly, it’s an over exaggerated satirical piece.
